The Decentraland DAO is the Community's platform to exert control and influence over the development of Decentraland. The DAO owns the most important smart contracts and assets that make up Decentraland – the LAND Contract, the Estates Contract, Wearables, Content Servers and the Marketplace.

Through its sizable treasury of MANA and other assets, Decentraland DAO maintains a robust Community Grants Program. Community Members can also enact Binding Governance Proposals that will come to collectively shape the future of the the Decentraland platform in particular, and the metaverse as a whole.
